About the Opportunity

Our client is an established and respected supplier within the tile and stone industry, servicing builders, developers, architects, designers and construction professionals across Greater Sydney.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to help expand relationships with builders throughout the Sydney market.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who understands the tile and stone industry and enjoys developing strong long-term relationships within the building and construction sector.

This is a field-based relationship role for someone who can identify opportunities, manage a territory and build trust with builders, construction companies and key project stakeholders.

The Role

Develop builder relationships across Greater Sydney.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will develop and manage builder relationships while identifying new residential and commercial project opportunities.

New Business Development

Develop new opportunities with builders, construction companies and project-based customers.

Account Growth

Manage and grow existing builder accounts through regular contact and strong relationship management.

Project Opportunities

Identify upcoming projects, secure specifications and work closely with key construction stakeholders.

Client Visits

Conduct regular client visits, face-to-face meetings and territory activity across Greater Sydney.

Solution-Based Sales

Provide product recommendations and practical sales support for tile and stone project requirements.

Pipeline Management

Maintain accurate CRM activity, manage opportunities and work toward sales growth and territory targets.

About You

Tile or stone industry experience is important.

  • Minimum 1 year experience within the tile or stone industry.
  • Previous Business Development, Account Management or Sales experience.
  • Experience dealing with builders, construction companies or trade customers.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive and self-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a sales territory.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Current driver’s licence.
